Finding a business
- Applies to:
There are a few ways to find a business within Haystack, via:
- Industry sector and location (e.g. plumbers in Derby)
- Business name
- Website address
All methods require you to type details into the search bar at the top of the screen once you have logged into Haystack, but as we use Google Maps to find businesses, we are unable to analyze a business without a web address.
Industry sector and location
If you are looking for a wide-selection of businesses in a particular area, you can perform a general search. For example, “plumbers in Derby”, then Haystack will search Google Maps using that term.
If you know the name of the business you want to test, but not their web address, then simply type the business name into the search bar.
You can also search using the business’ website address by typing this into the search bar.
Finding an existing business
If a business has previously been tested by Haystack, then instead of being given the option to Analyze it, you will be presented with the score generated last time. Details on how to retest the business can be found on the “Analyzing a business” help page.
